ABOUT BOTANICAL GARDEN OF SÓLLER.
Workshop to discover garden biodiversity through the Japanese technique tataki-zome. From Japanese tataki, "to hammer," and zome, "to dye," it is a technique that allows us to "dye by hammering." This technique is also used by the Cherokee people under the name leaf-pounding, where "leaf" and "pounding" are combined. Through pounding, certain substances present in fresh plants oxidize and transform, with the use of Polygonum tinctorium leaves being particularly magical in Japan.
